ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kathlene was born in 1984 in Wurzburg, Germany but has spent most of her life living in Northern New York. She writes poetry as a way to heal from post traumatic stress disorder. At the core of her writing is brevity, rhyme, and storytelling. She creatively writes about the impact of post traumatic stress disorder on her life and how she has fought to overcome struggles with her mental health. "She Planted Her Own Flowers" is her first publication and a tribute to the years of work she has devoted to healing in therapy. It takes the reader on a journey through her recovery, beautifully capturing the strength she has cultivated.
